Supplier Quality Engineer Associate (Summer 2026)

Supplier Quality Engineer Associate (Summer 2026)

Associate positions typically last for twelve weeks, and are salaried roles designed for students who have already received a bachelor's degree (or who will have done so before working at Astranis).

The Supplier Quality Engineering Intern will work on solving quality issues with suppliers, implement new processes and support the daily operations of the team.

Role

  • Drive failure mode and root cause analyses, and implementation of corrective actions. 

  • Design quality requirements and specifications.

  • Outline inspection and testing plans, and define re-processing and repair methods.

  • Monitor suppliers' performance and purchased parts' status, and communicate status to management.

  • Support manufacturing process development at supplier sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a similar discipline 

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience in manufacturing.

  • Experience with quality management systems.

  • Experience with inspection methods, metrology, and instrumentation.

  • Ability to read technical drawings and data sheets.

The base salary for this position is $1,925 per week.
