Supervisor of Warehouse (1st Shift)

$61,500 – $73,800 per year

The Warehouse Supervisor actively manages shipping and receiving processes while optimizing inventory control and workflows, leading a team to achieve operational goals.

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees all aspects of general warehouse operations while ensuring efficient inventory control, organization, and optimal workflows. In addition to managing general warehouse duties, this role includes involvement in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that logistics activities align with broader operational goals. The Warehouse Supervisor leads a team to maintain the smooth flow of materials and products, working collaboratively with various departments to meet business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and actively participate in shipping and receiving processes, including preparing,
  • Supervise general warehouse operations, including inventory control, picking, packing, and organization, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
  • Manage the timely processing of warehouse order pulling functions, and KPI tracking and review in order to meet department goals
  • Actively participate in shipping and receiving tasks as needed, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments and receipts
  • Lead a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure consistent adherence to operational and safety standards
  • Oversee the layout and organization of the warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy and efficient use of space
  • Monitor and improve workflows across both general warehouse operations and logistics functions, optimizing the flow of goods
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of products during both inventory management and shipping/receiving processes
  • Track and report performance metrics related to warehouse operations and logistics, ensuring goals are met and areas for improvement are identified
  • Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure accurate handling and transfer of materials
  • Enforce safety protocols and compliance with health and safety regulations across all warehouse operations
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure proper usage and maintenance to avoid operational disruptions
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any issues related to warehouse or logistics activities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 3-5 years of combined experience in warehouse operations
  • 1+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in warehouse environments
  • Strong understanding of both general warehouse processes and logistics, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office)

Benefits

The starting pay range for this position is $61,500 to $73,800 per year however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
