Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technicians in maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex electrical circuits, instrumentation systems, control loops, and associated equipment in crushing, grinding, gold recovery, and water treatment facilities.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies in all E&I operations.
- Manage inventory of parts and materials, and assist in preparing annual budgets for the E&I department.
- Develop and implement training programs for E&I personnel, promoting skill development and safety awareness.
- Coordinate with contractors and capital projects team on E&I-related work, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly reports on maintenance performance indicators to the Maintenance Superintendent.
- Respond to emergency situations as required and provide supervision outside normal business hours for shutdowns and major works.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in safety programs.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Superintendent.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field; or Associate's Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of experience in electrical systems and electronic instrumentation.
- 5+ years of production electrical experience in heavy industrial plants, preferably in crushing, grinding, milling, and related equipment.
- Advanced knowledge of PLC programming, industrial electricity, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in supervising teams.
- Proficient in computer operations, including SCADA, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and work flexible hours as needed.
