Summer Software Intern - AI-ML Perception

SSCI Products Division is looking to fill a summer internship position in the domain of data science and artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI-ML). The internship with the Perception Team will focus on supporting development of automatic target recognition (ATR), data governance including data collection, annotation and curation, modeling training of ATR, and supporting developing of autonomous robotic behaviors which employ and are driven by ATR.  The intern will work with SSCI research scientists and engineers supporting data analysis, perform basic coding tasks, and will support field test work with autonomous systems at local facilities to evaluate algorithms and collect additional training data.

Essential Functions:

  • Aid in developing software for ATR and autonomous robotic behaviors.
  • Work as part of a team to collect, annotate and analyze data.
  • Support field test work at local test facilities.
  • Support other company initiatives and programs.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DOD Security Clearance.
  • This position sits in our Burlington, MA office, must be able to work onsite.
  • Must be able to travel to support field test work at local facilities.

Requirements

Basic Skills:

  • Must have bachelor’s degree in Math, Data Science, AI Engineering
  • Must have a experience in data science and artificial intelligence
  • Experience using Python or C++

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with deep learning and YOLO preferred
  • Completed at least two years of relevant coursework, Masters student preferred
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a test team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
