Summer Music Production Instructor

For youth ages 14–24 enrolled in the Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program (MBSYEP)

Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Monday through Friday

End Goal: Student collaboration and performance in our culminating summer showcase, Dianne’s Recital

This role introduces students to the world of digital music-making. Students will explore beat creation, songwriting, and audio editing using digital audio workstations (DAWs), culminating in original compositions or collaborative pieces for Dianne’s Recital.

Requirements

  • Proficient in DAWs such as Soundtrap, BandLab, FL Studio, or Logic
  • Experience teaching music production to youth
  • Strong communication and project-based instruction skills

Contribute to the production of Dianne’s Recital, a city-wide performance that celebrates student growth, talent, and creativity.
