Summer Internship

Position Summary:

SSC CPAs + Advisors, Inc. is offering a unique Summer Internship opportunity designed to provide students with hands-on experience across three key lines of service: Tax, Audit, and Client Accounting Services (CAS). This rotational internship is ideal for students eager to explore various areas of public accounting and build a strong foundation for their future careers.

Interns will be assigned a Mentor or a Senior Navigator to guide them through the experience, with opportunities to shadow professionals, assist with client work, and participate in firm events, training, and community involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

In Tax:

• Support the preparation of individual and business tax returns
• Organize and review tax documents
• Assist with basic tax research projects

In Audit (Assurance):

• Assist with audit fieldwork and testing procedures
• Help compile workpapers and document findings
• Participate in internal audit team meetings and discussions

In Client Accounting Services (CAS):

• Support account reconciliations and bookkeeping tasks
• Assist with month-end close processes and financial reporting
• Work with accounting software such as QuickBooks and others

General:

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors across departments
• Attend Summer Internship Academy sessions for technical and soft skills development
• Participate in firm-wide initiatives, networking events, and social activities

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Completion of introductory accounting courses
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Excellent communication and time-management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with accounting software is a plus
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
