The Funding Intern will support the Funding team by assisting with administrative, document management, and coordination tasks related to the mortgage loan funding and purchase process. In addition, this role will provide general office administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations within the Paramus office.

This internship is designed to provide hands on exposure to funding operations, internal controls, and professional office operations within a regulated financial services environment. This Internship is located in our Paramus Headquarters, M-F.

Key Responsibilities – Funding Support

  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and tracking loan closing packages.
  • Upload and index funding documents into internal systems for review and retention.
  • Assist with basic data entry, tracking logs, and pipeline management.
  • Help monitor scheduled fundings and flag missing documentation to the team.
  • Provide general administrative support to Funding Specialists, Coordinators, and management as needed.

Key Responsibilities – Office Administration

  • Provide front office and general administrative support to the Paramus location.
  • Assist with mail distribution, scanning, filing, and document organization.
  • Help maintain shared office supplies and coordinate restocking as needed.
  • Support scheduling, meeting preparation, and conference room readiness.
  • Assist with basic data entry, tracking logs, and administrative reporting.
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for internal teams when needed.

 

 

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a college or university (business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential financial and company information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in financial services, mortgage operations, or business administration.
  • Prior internship, office administration, or customer service experience (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, deadline‑paced, deadline driven‑driven environment.
