The Post Closing Summer Intern will provide administrative and operational support to the Post Closing team in the Houston office. This role is designed to expose students to the mortgage loan lifecycle after funding, with a focus on document management, quality review support, and regulatory compliance processes.

The intern will assist with routine post-closing tasks while gaining closing tasks and hands‑on experience in mortgage operations, document custody, and investor requirements.  

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with reviewing closed loan packages for completeness and proper execution
  • Scan, index, and organize post‑closing documents into Longbridge Financials' imaging and document retention systems
  • Support preparation of case binders and collateral packages for submission to document custodians
  • Assist with logging and tracking trailing documents received from title companies, custodians, and partners
  • Help validate loan status in applicable systems (e.g., insured vs. pending documentation)
  • Perform quality checks to ensure documents meet internal standards before shipment or upload
  • Provide general administrative support to the Post Closing team and administrator as needed

 

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university (business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • This Internship is located in our Houston Office, M-F

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in financial services, mortgage operations, or compliance
  • Prior office, administrative, or internship experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline‑driven environment

  • Target base hourly wage is $20 per hour - Monday - Friday.
