About Nordics Sustainability

Statkraft’s sustainability strategy sets out targets and ambitions across four main pillars: biodiversity, circular economy, climate and just transition. The Sustainability Department in the Nordics business area is responsible for integrating this strategy across all parts of the Nordics organization. This includes working systematically with sustainability management in new projects, integrating sustainability into operations and maintenance, and providing support and advice to the organization on relevant sustainability issues and objectives. The department also has responsibility for Nordics sustainability reporting (CSRD/ESRS).

You’ll be part of a team that combines expertise, experience, and innovation to drive the development of renewable energy.

Examples of Tasks You Might Work On

Depending on the needs of the department and your interests, you may work on:

  • Support sustainability initiatives, including climate action, biodiversity, and human rights
  • Analyzing project sustainability data, such as emission drivers or by using geographic information systems (GIS), and considering mitigation measures based on cost-benefit analysis and project needs
  • Mapping and documenting sustainability measures across Statkraft’s portfolio in the Nordics including nature restoration efforts and revegetation projects

Tasks will be tailored to ensure you work on areas that excite and engage you the most!

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for students who:

  • Are passionate about renewable energy and sustainable solutions
  • Have strong analytical skills and a structured, detail-oriented approach to work
  • Are motivated, proactive, and enjoy working in teams
  • Are studying in fields such as energy and environment, biology, industrial ecology, climate, renewable energy, geographic information systems (GIS), engineering, or economics
  • Are currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree
  • Application deadline: 20.01.2026
  • Duration: Mid-June to mid-August 2026, the program also includes two weeks of vacation
  • Location: Statkraft HQ, Lilleakerveien 6A, 0283 Oslo
  • Final Presentation: The program concludes with interns presenting their work to management and colleagues (in English)
