Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Mechanical (DK)

In the role as Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Mechanical for our Data Center operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in HVAC, cooling systems, mechanical infrastructure, and critical facility operations. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining mechanical systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and efficiency of data center environments.

You guide and support the customer, as well as take the dialogue with the suppliers and ensure 100% uptime.

Moreover, a large part of your time will be spent on:

  • Drive quality procedures, standards and specifications
  • Assess system requirements and ensure that these are met
  • Analyze data, optimize processes and distribute statistical information
  • Troubleshooting events and alarms that occur on systems and components
  • Build and maintain technical reports
  • Support installation and commissioning activities
  • Be responsible for supplier service and agreements

The team consists of a mixed crowd with different professional backgrounds, ages and functions. We have a fantastic team spirit at work, and we also prioritize on an ongoing basis to have social events, large and small.

We expect you to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent experience, required
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in mission critical environments (data center, healthcare, high-performance manufacturing, oil/gas production, etc.), with a heavy emphasis on mechanical systems and operations
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling loads, heat rejection, and redundancy planning.
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS), and energy efficiency best practices.
  • Understanding of Tier classifications, PUE optimization, and thermal management.
  • Experience working with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams.

Physical requirements:

This job requires physical abilities like standing, walking, lifting up to 100 pounds, and using both arms and legs for tasks such as climbing, reaching, and handling equipment.
