Student Assistant, International Business Operations

We are seeking a passionate Student Assistant to join our team. As a member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will be given the ownership of two recurring deliverables, helping us run our international business: monthly consolidation of partner performance reports and regular updates to our demand planning model. 

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results. You will work hands-on with business data, strengthen your analytical toolkit, and learn how Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, partner markets, and IT collaborate in a biotech/pharmaceutical commercial setup. 

You will be joining the International Business Operations team, and report directly to Simon Lykke Ravn, Head of International Business Operations. You will be based in Hellerup. 

Your key responsibilities 

70% of your work will consist of recurring tasks such as 

• Monthly reporting by consolidating monthly partner reports and performing recurring QA checks 

• Support preparation of monthly performance materials 

• Quarterly demand planning model maintenance, receiving partner forecast updates, validating inputs and updating the demand planning model 

• Provide short quarterly summary of changes 

30% of your work will be around project exposure 

• Help improve templates, QA checklists, and process documentation. 

• Master data maintenance (market codes, SKUs, partner mappings). 

• Validate Power BI refreshes and data completeness once partner data is loaded. 

• Reconcile key outputs between partner submissions and dashboards using agreed checks. 

• Raise clear, well-documented IT tickets when issues are identified and track them to resolution. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

You are currently enrolled in an academic program. It could be a Bachelor’s or Master’s within Business, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, Supply Chain or similar.  

Power BI familiarity within usage/validation is a plus. 

Furthermore, you: 

• Have strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, structured formulas; Power Query is a plus). 

• Have a structured approach feeling comfortable working with large datasets and doing structured validation checks. 

• Are comfortable with recurring monthly/quarterly deadlines. 

• Are a clear communicator who can document issues and follow them through. 

• Are fluent in English (written and spoken).
