Structured Finance Manager / Sales & Trading Segment

TLDR

The Structured Finance Manager will develop bespoke financing solutions to support trading operations and enhance asset monetization strategies within the Group.

  • Part of the Sales & Trading Finance team, the Structured Finance Manager will be responsible for providing financial support to the Group NatGas and Power trading operations;
  • The STF Manager will be responsible to attract new sources of financing for the Group, with an “out of the box” approach to asset-based finance and asset monetization;
  • Directly reporting to the Head of Treasury and Corporate finance, the STF Manager will directly interact with the Trading entities to proactively identify and assess the financing requirements arising out of contemplated business developments of the trading division of the Trading and Wholesale division (including the building of a yearly business and budget plan);
  • The STF Manager will originate, structure and execute (incl. legal documentation) cost-efficient, bespoke financing solutions, including hedging requirements, to support the business growth;
  • The STF Manager will maintain the existing Borrowing Base Facility, including yearly negotiations and refinancing;
  • Ensure awareness of the Management through direct communication regarding all trade finance-related matters, risks and opportunities identified in the general course of business;
  • Assist and interact with other departments within the Group (Trading, Legal, Finance, Accounting and others) and support them with trade finance related matters, but also be involved in development and optimization of existing processes
  • The STF Manager will advise the STS CFO as well as the Trading CFO on capital structure, financing requirements and solutions as well as strategic insight to the Board and other senior executives.
  • 5 to 10 years experience in structured trade finance in commodity space
  • Experience in leading the origination, structuring and execution of bespoke financing solutions, including derivatives components
  • Experience in LNG, Gas & Power is definitely a plus (oil & oil products experience will be also considered)
  • Knowledge of main trade finance products and mechanics, gas trading specifics including operations, documentation (EFET) and credit risks in general
  • Able to communicate credibly in front of the board – articulate financing strategy
  • Build and maintain relationships with international banks and clearers
  • Strong understanding of derivatives products
  • Hands-on attitude, building the business plan, writing of proposals to the board for new financing solutions, providing support to the Trading CFO in putting together business proposals
