  • Maintain and expand technical knowledge through continuing education

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Minimum of 1 year of structural design engineering experience
  • Knowledge of structural design for concrete, masonry, and structural steel systems
  • Familiarity with applicable building codes and material standards
  • Basic knowledge of finite element modeling using plate and frame elements
  • Understanding of multi-discipline design coordination practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook
  • Strong technical problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure within 24 months

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation
  • Structural Engineer (SE) registration or intent to pursue SE licensure
