As a Strategy & Operations Senior Associate in Kraken Distribution, you will work closely with the Strategy & Operations Lead and General Manager, Kraken Distribution to shape and execute our strategy, go-to-market approach, and operationalisation for a rapidly growing product vertical.

You’ll own analytical workstreams end-to-end, turning ambiguous questions into structured analysis, models, and crisp materials that accelerate senior leadership decisions and customer-facing momentum. You’ll partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams across product, delivery, market development, marketing, and sales.

What you’ll do
  • Strategic planning: Shape strategy and operating plans by owning analytical workstreams, building financial models (e.g. investment cases, growth forecasts), and translating insights into prioritised recommendations with Kraken Distribution leadership.

  • Markets & customer analysis: Gather market, competitor, and customer insights to shape Kraken Distribution’s go-to-market strategy and execution. This includes: target market and prospect analysis, market positioning, regulatory affairs and market development, and differentiated value propositions.

  • Internal operations & cross-functional execution: Create executive-ready materials that strengthen Kraken Distribution’s commercial execution and cross-functional alignment (e.g. sales enablement, client workshops, customer-specific value assessments, and thought leadership), partnering with our product, sales, marketing, and delivery teams. Support operational programmes, including internal audits and compliance activities, to help ensure Kraken Distribution meets its contractual obligations and maintains delivery confidence.

What you'll need
  • 3+ years of experience in strategy, go-to-market roles, management consulting, or a similar analytical and execution-focused role, with a strong preference for experience within energy or technology (SaaS) sectors.

  • Demonstrated success delivering complex and rigorous analysis that drives meaningful business impact - such as market entry assessments, commercial/value case development, or go-to-market initiatives.

Skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate analysis into clear recommendations.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools) and comfort working with data to inform strategic and go-to-market decisions.

  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams (e.g., product, engineering, delivery, market development, marketing, sales).

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, workstreams, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to create clear, executive-ready materials and narratives and deliver them to senior stakeholders.

  • Strong commercial mindset and business acumen, with the ability to understand value drivers, assess commercial trade-offs, and translate analysis into business outcomes; experience in tech or SaaS businesses, and exposure to CRM and/or energy technology platforms, is a plus.

  • Curiosity and a hands-on, can-do mindset, with the ability to work independently, adapt quickly as priorities shift, and build energy market and distribution utility domain understanding at pace.
