Strategy Intern

ROLE PURPOSE 

We are seeking a Strategy Intern to support our strategic planning and market intelligence efforts in Syngenta South Africa. This role is critical for leveraging diverse perspectives for deeper insights into emerging agricultural trends and local market dynamics, driving competitive positioning and growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about strategic business development and data-driven decision-making.

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE

• Gain practical, hands-on experience by contributing to real business projects that impact Syngenta's operations and strategic objectives.
• Develop professional competencies by working alongside experienced colleagues across different functions and teams.
• Build a comprehensive understanding of Syngenta's business, products, and the agricultural industry.
• Apply academic knowledge to solve practical business challenges and contribute to departmental goals.
• Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning throughout the internship period.

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in Business (B.Com), Agricultural Economics or equivalent
• Have strong academic performance and motivation (Min 70% in major Subject)
• Knowledge of strategic planning frameworks and business analysis techniques.
• Competent in MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint for strategic presentations.
• Knowledge of Project Management methodologies.
