Purpose:

The Strategic Sales Manager is accountable for achieving growth in North America in the assigned industry. The incumbent will support the existing Regional Sales Managers, Territory Managers, Industrial Account Managers, Channel Partners and cover Direct Accounts to grow top-line sales.

 

Responsibilities:

EPC Sales – Responsibilities & Support

  • Focus on Oil & Gas Engineering Planning and Construction (EPC) companies
  • Focus on LNG industry development - similar to a Business Development
  • Data Centers and Power Up - similar to a Business Development
  • Potentially, offshore and upstream development

Aftermarket Sales

  • Target Rexa installations older than 5yrs , focused on Critical Installations, Rotating Equipment, FCC applications
    • Sell parts & service for upcoming outages
  • Develop Schedule of Outage Plans.
    • Work with Service to coordinate health checks and site walks.
    • Make recommendations for spare parts, and overhauls at major outages
  • Grow MRO Sales and base business of parts and modifications/ upgrades
  • Service Tech capacity planning with Service Management – to sell onsite work for future outages.
  • >> this will help with learning customers, application and working with regional and territory sales managers.
  • Target Chevron’s 5yr & 10yr replacement and upgrade MRO budget



Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering, or equivalent
  • At least five years outside sales experience in the valve, actuator, flow controls or related industries – prior transferable experience, such as product engineering and field technical support, is acceptable
  • Experience working with and evaluating Channel Partners serving the Oil & Gas process industries

 

Knowledge and skills

  • Demonstrated Expertise in applications in the given industry
  • Above average organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English (verbal & written)
  • Good public speaking and presentation skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to conduct product demo
  • Ability to provide on-site commissioning support and/or trouble shooting as required
  • A self-starter able to operate independently within the assigned sales industry
  • Competence with Microsoft based pc software
  • Ability and discipline to effectively utilize CRM effectively
  • Valid driver’s license


Working conditions:

  • 50% travel
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to fly on airplanes
  • Able to lift a 50 Lb. demo case
