Job Summary

The Partnerships Associate is an essential member of the YouthBuild Global team and plays a critical role in ensuring effective, coordinated, and responsive support to YouthBuild Global strategic partners and programs in the field. This administrative and coordination-focused position supports external-facing operations, strengthens communication between YouthBuild Global and strategic partners, and enhances collaboration among YouthBuild Global, YouthBuild affiliates, and external partners.

The Partnerships Associate supports systems, processes, and day-to-day operations that enable YouthBuild Global to deliver high-quality resources to affiliated programs, supporting successful employment pathways with external partners. This role maintains operational tracking and documentation, helps ensure timely, clear, and consistent communication, and coordinates collaboration across YouthBuild Global departments. The position reports to the Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships, and is expected to travel less than 20% of the time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Career Pathways Initiatives (50%):

·       Support the overall work of the Strategic Partnerships team with ongoing administrative functions including but not limited to database management, records management, ongoing reporting, and logistical follow-up.

·       Serve as a point of contact for YouthBuild affiliate staff engaged as a participating site with a corporate partner and ensure MOUs, site agreements, tracking and reporting data, and required deliverables are scheduled and within the established timeline.

·       Coordinate the successful launch and implementation of career pathway initiatives, including supporting appropriate expectations with private sector partners, and documenting all activities in Salesforce and other platforms to support outcomes reporting.

·       Lead the creation, refinement, and sharing of tools and resources (e.g. guides, training materials, fundraising materials, etc.) related to career pathways.

·       Provide technical assistance to the field of affiliated programs by attending meetings as needed, responding to field inquiries, and providing program support for those needing interventions to correct issues.

 

Communication with YouthBuild Affiliates (30%)

·       Support the implementation and maintenance of operational systems, tools, and workflows that support programs in executing appropriate training, credentialing, and employment.

·       Coordinate schedules, logistics, and follow-up related to field-facing activities such as trainings, convenings, site visits, office hours, ongoing partner meetings, and similar.

·       Track requests, deliverables, timelines, and follow-up actions related to grant deliverables using Salesforce and other internal systems.

·       Assist in documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, and guidance related to grant deliverables.

·       Support clear, timely, and consistent communication with YouthBuild Affiliates regarding expectations, timelines, and available supports for successful compliance with external commitments.

·       Gather feedback from the field related to operational processes and support continuous improvement efforts.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Coordination (10%)

·       Assist in planning and facilitating internal meetings focused on field coordination, shared priorities, and continuous improvement.

·       Help identify operational gaps, redundancies, or opportunities for increased efficiency and elevate recommendations to leadership.

Organizational and Administrative Support (10%)

·       Provide general administrative support related to operations, including data entry, documentation, reporting, and meeting coordination.

·       Support leadership with preparation of internal reports, summaries, dashboards, and operational updates.

·       Attend required internal meetings and participate in cross-departmental projects and working groups.

·       Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

Education & Experience Required

·       A strong desire to provide a positive social impact for opportunity youth/NEET (youth not engaged in employment or education) youth by working with employers to grow available and sustainable job opportunities

·       Associate's degree and a minimum of one years' experience in partnership-building and business development, administrative clerical work, or similar role, or equivalent. Work experience may substitute formal education

  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations - knowledge of corporate social responsibility programs, employer-nonprofit partnerships, and nonprofit service delivery is preferred

·       Preference for candidates with experience using salesforce or similar databases

 

Skills & Knowledge Required

The ideal candidate exercises good judgment, works well with a team, and has knowledge of the opportunity youth population; Has demonstrated strong administrative management, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills; Has the ability to convey information with a professional approach to a wide variety of stakeholders; Is entrepreneurial, resourceful, and committed to YouthBuild Global’s mission and the YouthBuild movement; And, has technical skills including MS Office Suite software, database management, and project management.

 

Physical Effort Required

Candidates should be able to travel, up to 20% of the time, and infrequently be able to push, pull, and carry items weighing < 25 lbs.
