The Strategic Excellence Manager drives transformational change across Syngenta's North American operations by connecting cross-functional teams and leading future-focused planning initiatives. Leveraging automation, AI, and data-driven insights, this role optimizes critical business processes, including BAP, MBR, Pricing, and Marketing Campaigns, while championing North American priorities globally and ensuring alignment with the S4 HANA implementation.

Duties:

  • Lead Strategic Planning & Innovation – Drive the annual strategic planning cycle using AI-enabled forecasting, scenario modeling, and agile methodologies to adapt quickly to market changes and future-proof commercial processes.
  • Redesign & Automate Planning Processes – Simplify and scale planning workflows by implementing automation tools, AI-driven insights, and decision intelligence frameworks that eliminate manual inefficiencies and accelerate execution.
  • Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration – Build strategic partnerships across Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Analytics teams while representing North American priorities in global forums to align on innovation-first objectives.
  • Deliver Performance Intelligence – Deploy real-time dashboards and predictive analytics to track KPIs, monitor campaign performance, and identify risks early for proactive mitigation.
  • Champion Commercial Excellence Initiatives – Establish digital governance frameworks and continuous improvement processes that standardize operations and drive data-backed decision-making across the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or quantitative field required; Master's degree (MBA, Marketing, or related) preferred.
  • 5+ years in Marketing, Sales, Strategy, or Commercial roles with proven leadership in digital transformation, process automation, and strategic planning.
  • Understanding of agricultural industry dynamics, seeds/traits market, and commercial operations within complex B2B environments.
  • Familiarity with AI, automation tools, data analytics platforms, and digital workflow optimization to drive process efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, lead organizational change, and deliver projects in agile environments using data-driven problem-solving.
  • Track record of challenging legacy thinking, implementing future-focused solutions, and driving commercial excellence initiatives.
