Vericast is seeking an experienced Strategic Events Manager to lead our owned, internal, national and state association events strategy and execution. This role serves as the strategic architect and operational driver of our event presence across the financial services industry, managing a comprehensive portfolio of owned events and association partnerships that drive business growth and strengthen client relationships. The Strategic Events Manager will orchestrate up to 10 owned events annually while coordinating participation in 25+ association events alongside our sales team. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously while traveling extensively across the country to ensure flawless execution.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES


Event Strategy & Execution: Design and execute up to 10 signature “owned” events per year, from intimate executive roundtables to large-scale conferences; Manage participation and presence at 25+ industry association events, ensuring consistent brand representation and maximizing ROI; Develop comprehensive event agendas that align with business objectives and deliver value to attendees; Coordinate all event logistics including venue selection, client and internal travel, catering, audiovisual needs, and on-site management; Manage and own event marketing materials working with creative services and marketing team. Stakeholder Management: Partner with sales and marketing to understand needs and intended event experience and outcomes; Collaborate closely with sales team members to identify strategic event opportunities and ensure proper follow-up; Work with destination management companies (DMCs) to deliver seamless experiences in markets nationwide; Serve as primary liaison between internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners; Prepare and maintain event briefing documents for executives, sales teams, and staff participants. (20%)
Operations & Logistics: Book and manage all travel arrangements for team members, speakers, and VIP attendees; Coordinate meeting schedules across multiple time zones and competing priorities; Negotiate contracts with venues, hotels, DMCs, and other vendors to optimize budget and experience; Maintain detailed project timelines and budgets for all events, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery (20%)
Program Management: Manage multiple events simultaneously at various stages of planning and execution; Create and maintain event playbooks, templates, and best practices documentation; Track event metrics and ROI, providing post-event analysis and recommendations; Continuously refine event strategies based on feedback and industry trends (20%)

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field preferred
 Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or similar event management certification


EXPERIENCE
7+ years of experience in event management, preferably in B2B or financial services environments
working with a sales organization.

 Proven track record managing multiple large-scale events simultaneously
 Experience working with destination management companies and national venue networks
 Strong project management skills with ability to juggle competing priorities and tight deadlines
 Excellent relationship-building skills with executive-level stakeholders
Willingness and ability to travel 50%+ of the time across the United States
 Proficiency with event management software, CRM systems, and project management tools


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
 Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading events in the financial services or fintech industry; Knowledge of major financial services associations and industry conference calendar; Experience managing event budgets of $100- $1m per event; Existing relationships with DMCs and venues in major U.S. markets


EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE UTILIZED
 Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, event management tools (HubSpot, C-Vent, etc)


DECISION MAKING

Manage event partners, recommend sales team partners, work within set budget parameters


*This position requires up to 50% travel across the United States, including some weekends and evenings during peak event seasons. Travel will vary by quarter based on event calendar, with heavier concentration during industry conference seasons.

Base salary: $100,000-$125,000

Position is eligible for an annual bonus incentive program.
