The Office of the CEO is seeking a Strategic Communication Advisor who will leverage outstanding English and other-language communication skills to support, develop, implement, and execute the company's communications plan in support of its mission. The right candidate will be professional, well-spoken, and have strong organizational skills. Main Responsibilities:

  • Communications
  • Develop, create, and promote targeted and effective communications and engagement content for Office of the CEO programs and projects
  • Review and edit content prepared by other members of the team, ensuring consistency in voice, tone, and style
  • Lead the implementation of the communications and engagement strategy for the Office of the CEO by developing a cohesive annual communications and engagement plan
  • Lead the Office of the CEO communications calendar to ensure that campaigns and content are released on the most effective schedules and across the appropriate channels
  • Champion use of internal project management tool to effectively plan communications and engagement projects
  • Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of communications and engagement best practices to recommend new approaches for FreeBalance
  • In collaboration with the Marketing and Communications department, create an effective social media strategy for the President/CEO
  • Consult on and edit grant and funding applications as needed

  • Engagement
  • Create engagement content and toolkits on FreeBalance Initiatives, notes and presentations for FreeBalance management and staff speaking opportunities
  • Seek out new strategic engagement opportunities for FreeBalance, such as conference panels, meetings, webinars, etc.

  • Office Administration
  • Provide efficient administrative support to the President/CEO, including managing internal and external communications
  • Managed daily schedule of President/CEO, including scheduling meetings and appointments, maintaining an up-to-date calendar with activities, and confirming appointments
  • Manage travel arrangements, accommodations, agendas for travel, contact information, and any necessary information or documentation required for travel
  • Provide regular feedback/updates on the progress of assigned activities
  • Assist the CEO with other activities related to Sales, Marketing, and Customer events
  • Attend meetings and take minutes as requested, following up with action items
  • Handle Office of the CEO correspondence in a discreet and confidential manner
  • Social Media Proficiency: Understanding of social media platforms and strategies
  • Supporting the planning and execution of events, including press conferences and promotional activities
  • Available during regular business hours, evenings, and/or weekends
  • Travel internationally with limited notice
  • Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills in English
  • Extensive experience and proficiency in communications, including writing, editing, speaking notes, and presentations
  • Additional language proficiency is a major asset
  • Proficient in Word, Adobe, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in structuring PowerPoint Presentations on executive level
  • Well-organized and able to work cooperatively with others throughout the company
  • The ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
  • The competence to preserve the confidentiality of special matters
  • Ability to research different topics, including, but not limited to: government, software, media, and public financial management.
  • Comfortable presenting any given research topic
  • Demonstrated experience translating high-level strategy into a concrete communications plan
  • Experience in the development of communications strategies
  • Experience in creative, strategic, big-picture thinking combined with the ability to execute tactically
  • Experience hosting virtual meetings, webinars, and workshops
  • Experience with the university sector and communicating to an academic audience is highly desirable
  • Travel required
