Diversity drives Innovation, we look forward to receiving your application whatever your background. Come and join us on our inspiring journey.

We are looking for a Strategic Bid & Proposal Writer who can do more than just answer tender questions, we need someone who can articulate our vision, align our capabilities with client needs, and ensure every document we submit is a strategic masterpiece.

The Role

This isn't a "copy&paste" role. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of bids, the creation and tailoring of proposals as well as the interpretation and explanation of policy documents. You will act as the gatekeeper of our strategic alignment, ensuring that we aren't just chasing every contract, but winning the right ones that move our mission forward and best representing ourselves at every stage of the sales cycle. This will include our existing markets, as well as directly supporting our CEO on further international expansion and exploration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft & Deliver: Write high-quality, persuasive bid responses and formal proposals for NHS Trusts, ICSs, research institutions, private healthcare providers and international healthcare providers.
  • Strategic Assessment: Review policy documents, tender documents and RFPs to evaluate "strategic fit” and opportunities for PKB.
  • Storyboarding: Collaborate with technical, clinical, and product teams to translate complex features into benefit-driven narratives.  Partner with the marketing team to ensure our platform messaging and narratives are aligned and consistent across channels.
  • Content Governance: Maintain and evolve our "Knowledge Base" of gold-standard responses, ensuring technical accuracy and consistent branding.
  • Compliance & Precision: Ensure all submissions meet strict procurement requirements while maintaining a "PKB voice" that stands out from corporate jargon.
  • Translate internal briefings into external narratives: Take briefings from the sales team and the wider management team and support quick turn arounds of proposals and briefs.

Requirements

Who you are:

  • A Healthcare Strategist: You understand the NHS/healthcare landscape, and the broader complexity of healthcare and the role of technology/industry.
  • A Master Communicator: You can explain API integrations to a clinician and patient empowerment to a transformation team in the same document.
  • Detail-Obsessed: You spot a formatting error from a mile away.
  • Ethically Aligned: You care about data privacy and patient rights.
  • 3+ years in bid/proposal writing, ideally within HealthTech, Saas, or Public Sector procurement.
  • Proven track record of winning high-value tenders (contracts over £500k+).
  • Strong project management skills; you can juggle multiple deadlines without breaking a sweat.

Benefits

  • Outstandingly supportive and helpful environment
  • Flexible working (and of course flexible work environment as we are fully remote)
  • Support in your professional development and space to grow your career path in a highly innovative, fast growth company. As part of the role you’ll be enrolled in our robust onboarding and training programme - including spending time learning from the experts across integrations, information governance, product, success and our sales team.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay and leave.
  • Company social events (including internationally - our last all company meetup was in Lisbon in June 2025)
  • Access to confidential, professional support 24/7 through our EAP provider
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
