The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with our key clients, ensuring their satisfaction, and identifying opportunities to increase sales. Minimum Qualifications 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, or a relevant field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Strategic Account Manager or in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing or related industry.

Knowledge:

  • Strong background in sales and customer service, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts effectively.
  • Knowledge of wire harness and cable assembly products is helpful.
  • Experience with quoting and order processing.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and client needs to develop strategic plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in using sales software and ERP systems.

 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and accurate information regarding products, pricing, and lead times.
  • Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from order entry to delivery.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotes, proposals, and purchase orders.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business within existing accounts, aiming to increase revenue and market share.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and objectives and develop tailored solutions to meet those needs.
  • Assist in identifying new sales opportunities and market trends.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to deliver high-quality products and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Regularly assess account performance, providing reports and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by clients promptly and effectively.
  • Communicate with 603 Manufacturing Sales Representatives, as necessary, on associated accounts

 

Internal and External Relationships

This position interacts with production, quality, and engineering departments on a regular basis.  This position also interacts with outside vendors, contractors, suppliers and potential new customers.
