The Enterprise Account Executive, Government is a hunter role focused on driving new business and expanding Nearmap’s footprint in the State and Local Government sector. You will be responsible for acquiring new customers, upselling existing enterprise accounts, and closing complex deals that directly contribute to revenue growth.

This is an opportunity to own a defined territory, build strategic relationships with public sector leaders, and leverage key procurement vehicles and reseller partnerships to position Nearmap as the essential partner for government agencies.

What You'll Do

  • Create and execute a government-focused territory strategy with measurable goals and milestones
  • Develop account plans for key targets, including org charts, influence mapping, and tailored value strategies
  • Identify and leverage purchasing vehicles, schedules, and cooperative agreements to accelerate deal cycles
  • Generate new pipeline while managing multiple opportunities across the full enterprise sales cycle
  • Lead and respond to RFPs in collaboration with proposal and technical support teams
  • Build strong relationships with government executives, influencing decisions at both operational and strategic levels
  • Partner with resellers and alliances such as SHI, Carahsoft, and other public sector distributors to expand reach
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and accurate forecasting in Salesforce
  • Collaborate with sales engineers, marketing, and customer success teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
  • Represent Nearmap at key industry events, conferences, and customer briefings

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of AE sales experience with a proven record of exceeding quota, ideally in SaaS, GovTech, or geospatial solutions
  • Demonstrated hunter mentality with experience generating net new business and closing six-figure deals
  • Knowledge of state and local government procurement processes, including RFPs, contracts, and cooperative vehicles
  • Experience leveraging channel and reseller partners to drive growth in the public sector
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-Suite decision-makers and multi-stakeholder buying groups
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce, and strong pipeline management discipline
  • Excellent communication skills, including proposal writing, executive presentations, and solution storytelling
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
