About the team and role 

Strategic Sales Team 

As part of GBG’s Strategic Sales Team, this role is pivotal to delivering identity intelligence and fraud solutions at scale. Australia and New Zealand are central to GBG’s global expansion plans, representing a significant opportunity to help existing and new clients achieve their objectives in customer onboarding and risk management.

By providing high-quality service and seamless engagement, we improve the customer journey drive enhanced profitability and ul. This role focuses on GBG’s Top 100 customers and strategic prospects, building deep executive relationships, unlocking growth across our portfolio, and ensuring GBG is to do business with.

Strategic Account Director 

You will own a portfolio of GBG’s strategic accounts in financial services across Australia, strengthening executive relationships, unlocking growth, and making GBG easier to do business with. Partnering crossfunctionally, you will lead valuebased account planning, orchestrate multidisciplinary deal teams, and convert insight into measurable revenue outcomes—across our identity verification, fraud prevention, biometrics and orchestration solutions. 

What you will do 

    • Own and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts in Australia. 
    • Build strong executive relationships and become a trusted advisor. 
    • Develop and execute account plans to deliver revenue targets. 
    • Identify opportunities for cross-sell and upsell across GBG solutions. 
    • Lead deal teams and manage the sales cycle from discovery to close. 
    • Partner with Marketing and Client Success to drive engagement and value. 
    • Provide accurate forecasts and maintain CRM hygiene. 

 

Skills we’re looking for 

    • Resourcefulness, high level of curiosity, passion to learn, courage to try, fail and win. 
    • Proven experience in strategic or key account management. 
    • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and sell to C-suite. 
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. 
    • Comfortable leading cross-functional teams and complex deals. 
    • Have knowledge of end-to-end software project implementation. 
    • Knowledge of identity, fraud, or analytics solutions (preferred).
