To provide safe and cost-effective stock control & logistical support for the Waihi Operation and ensure that all stock is stored, issued and receipted safely and accurately and provide an efficient, safe and secure warehouse facility ensuring a high level of material availability and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Receiving stores and issuing parts and consumables efficiently.
- Maintaining materials management and rotation between all stores operational areas.
- Ensuring the maintenance of forklifts is undertaken as required.
- Recording stock balances accurately.
- Monitoring and reporting on the physical stock levels and consumption of parts and consumables.
- Assisting the Supervisor & Buyer in maintaining goods return systems so that redundant or incompatible stock is routinely returned for credit.
- Participate in the maintenance inventory control systems to ensure appropriate stock control & security.
- Assist with undertaking of periodic stock takes of inventory to identify inventory value, situations of over or under stocking, and redundant stock.
- Current Full Driver’s Licence with Forklift endorsement.
- Previous experience in a stores environment preferred.
