Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Storage SAN SME with strong expertise in SAN hardware installation, configuration, storage virtualisation, provisioning, and migration. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing Pure Storage arrays that provide high-performance and reliable storage for workloads migrated from VMware to OpenShift. The position ensures seamless integration of enterprise storage with containerized environments while maintaining data availability, security, performance, and compliance throughout the migration process.

What you will do:

  • Design and implement Pure Storage solutions to support OpenShift clusters and migrated workloads.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Pure Storage arrays ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Integrate Pure Storage with containerized environments and underlying infrastructure.
  • Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities for storage systems.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting for storage health, capacity, and performance.
  • Apply security and compliance controls, including encryption and access management.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineers, OpenShift Administrators, and DevOps teams for seamless integration.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of storage configurations, processes, and operational runbooks.
  • Troubleshoot storage-related issues and optimize performance for containerized workloads.
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance, change management, and regulatory standards.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Pure Storage arrays and related technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of SAN hardware installation and configuration, storage virtualisation, provisioning, and migration practices.
  • Solid understanding of storage integration with OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
  • Knowledge of storage protocols and data protection strategies.
  • Familiarity with Linux system administration and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience implementing security and compliance best practices for enterprise storage systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Certifications in Pure Storage or enterprise storage technologies preferred.
