We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Stock Plan Administrator to join our Finance team. This role will own the day-to-day administration of Virta’s equity compensation programs and ensure all equity transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
You will partner cross-functionally with Total Rewards, Payroll, Legal, and external auditors to maintain strong internal controls, support financial reporting requirements, and deliver a best-in-class equity experience for our team members.
Own all administration of Virta’s equity compensation programs, including stock options, RSUs, and other equity awards.
Process grants, vesting, exercises, cancellations, and terminations in our equity management and administration software platform.
Maintain accurate equity records and reconcile data across different equity and human resources platforms.
Prepare reports for Compensation Committee listing new grants to be approved
Support payroll reporting and tax withholding related to equity events, including Form 3921 filings.
Partner with Legal to ensure compliance with plan documents, board approvals, and regulatory requirements (ASC 718, 409A, SEC reporting as applicable).
Respond to employee inquiries and support equity education efforts.
Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls around equity administration.
Support special projects including equity refresh cycles, plan amendments, and corporate transactions.
3+ years of experience in stock plan administration or equity compensation.
Hands-on experience with Carta or other equity administration systems.
Experience working with ADP and Workday or similar payroll and HRIS systems.
Strong understanding of stock options, RSUs, vesting schedules, and tax implications.
Knowledge of ASC 718, 409A, and related compliance requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation.
Experience in high-growth, pre-IPO, or public company environments.
Familiarity with SOX controls related to equity administration.
Experience supporting global equity programs.
Experience with additional equity administration systems.

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
