POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for the professional and efficient managing of stages and studio facility and serve as liaison between productions and studio operations. Stage Coordinator coordinates with vendors, oversees production client requests and billing, labor supervision, stage technical processes, logistics, facility repairs and maintenance, as well as a variety of clerical duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Conduct pre/post stage inspection with facilities team and with production.
Create daily stage checklists and implement procedures.
Experience and understand practical applications of lighting and grip equipment.
Coordinate stage operation procedures relating to set load in, load out and shooting processes to facilitate a smooth production run with clients.
Enforce local fire codes as they relate to a studio environment.
Enforce Safety rules and regulations as they relate to a studio environment.
Conduct daily stage inspections.
Move-in and move-out checklist completion (riggings, stage, perms, stairwells, etc.).
Daily stage report (DSR) completion.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
None.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)
Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent job experience.
3+ years of related industry experience (such as labor, stage, or lighting & grip in a studio).
Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
Must be an effective leader and be able to motivate people.
Needs to work well under the pressure of production and events.
Fundamental understanding of video and audio production equipment and capabilities.
Prop and grip experience necessary.
Must work well as a member of a team and be able to be a competent team leader.
Heavy equipment certifications (forklift, boom lift, scissor lift, etc.) in order to move items around for productions/studio.
Valid Driver’s License.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge of MRI Angus.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, time management skills and capable of prioritizing tasks.
Attention to detail.

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. The role is considered non-exempt so will be eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state law. At SKR, base pay is one part of the total compensation package. This role will be eligible to participate in SKR's variable compensation program (e.g. commission). The anticipated base pay range for the position in Los Angeles, California is $24.04 - $28.85 per hour.
