Validate Gigamon’s network visibility fabric product by designing test beds for customer deployments, developing automation scripts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:
Develop thorough understanding of Gigamon hardware and software architecture.
Develop thorough understanding of Gigamon solutions and market verticals
Work with cross functional team and develop customer use cases
Design and build system test bed focusing on customer deployment scenarios.
Troubleshoot, isolate problems and work closely with development for resolution
Timely test case execution with a customer quality focus
Develop automation scripts for all customer use cases
Working closely with the automation team to integrate use cases into regression test suite.
Demo proof of concept for specific customer use cases.
Review product documentation and provide feedback to Technical Publications
Field escalations; working with support and development in troubleshooting and reproducing field reported escalation issues
Learn from customer bugs and fill test coverage gaps.
Bug creation, reproductions and daily management
Test project lead on occasion
Requirements:
6+ years of hands-on QA testing experience including:
System Test, Performance Test, Integration Test, and Interoperability Test
Creating, implementing and reviewing manual/automated test cases and test suites
Experience with test case management tools such as Mercury Center, TestLink etc….
Working knowledge in TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, L4 – L7 protocols
Working knowledge in Nutanix
Knowledge of and/or experience with firewall, security and SSL a plus
Strong network configuration and troubleshooting skills
Must be familiar with packet capture tools such as Wireshark, SnifferPro and are able read/understand the capture
Scripting experience a plus; Python, TCL, Perl, Expect
Working experience in Terraform, Ansible, Puppet
Experience with bug tracking systems such as; Bugzilla, Jira, etc…
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Project/Test lead experience a plus
Mentor junior QA engineers in QA process and technology
