The Supply Platform team is chartered with building the platform and tooling to enable Airbnb to onboard and manage the best and highest quality supply in the world across all lines of business. This includes developing capabilities to optimize human operations, software platforms to model operations and AI to simplify and scale our systems. The team is highly collaborative and works very closely with product, operations, legal, design and works with global site teams.

The Difference You Will Make:

As a Staff Software Engineer (FE), you'll have the opportunity to work with world-class engineers on building the tooling used by agents to review the Supply performance and quality and supporting new product launches by embedding yourself into product initiatives.
Participate in the development of product and UX requirements by engaging early and often with designers, product managers and other stakeholders to help steer teams on the most efficient path towards overall goals
The role and responsibility involves a massive blast radius on all Airbnb supply ops tooling features and teams used by 1000s of agents globally. It is essential for each system update to be stable and safe.

A Typical Day:

Design, develop, and refine supply onboarding and vetting features for Airbnb on the web, ensuring high-quality and performant user experiences
Work closely with engineers from product teams across Airbnb, understanding their productivity and feature pain points and building solutions to resolve them scalably and flexibly
Drive investments into new technical capabilities that push the envelope and unlock new product innovation
Identify Design and Engineer product development pain point and constantly improve the development efficiency
Contribute to the team’s technical strategy alongside leads to evolve technology choices that scale with Product and Design ambitions
Level up technical leadership within the team through effective partnership with peer ICs and mentoring

Your Expertise:

10+ years of industry experience developing consumer Web applications, and design systems at scale
Expertise using Javascript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
Experience with modern JavaScript/Typescript libraries and tooling (e.g. React)
Track record of leading projects end-to-end that involve strong cross-functional collaboration with Product and Design partners
You possess passion for UI and Motion animation development, with attention to detail mindset
Experience in partnering with other leaders in setting product strategy
Shipped several large scale projects with multiple dependencies across teams
Technical leadership and strong communication skills with ability to lead other experienced engineers
[Bonus] Experience working with Figma and other design tools

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range shown below is annualized, is inclusive of allowances and is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentives, one or more equity programs, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
