As one of the first backend/infra engineers, you’ll design and build the systems that make enterprise AI deployments reliable, scalable, and secure. From APIs to authentication to metering and observability, you’ll have huge ownership over the technical architecture that supports mission-critical AI services. This is a high-impact, zero-to-one role where you’ll define foundational systems while staying deeply hands-on.
What You’ll Tackle:
Architect and build backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure that power enterprise-grade AI agents.
Lead projects across authentication, observability, metering, billing, and metadata systems.
Own infrastructure automation (IaC), Kubernetes-based deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.
Design backend solutions with an eye toward reliability, security, scalability, and high performance.
Collaborate closely with platform engineers, solutions architects, and product teams to deliver cohesive systems at scale.
What You'll Bring:
6+ years building and scaling backend systems and infrastructure, ideally for enterprise SaaS or AI products.
Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, Terraform (or similar), and CI/CD systems.
Strong backend development experience in Python (or similar languages).
A track record of designing secure, reliable APIs and distributed systems.
High ownership mindset—comfortable architecting systems and getting your hands dirty building them.
Based in or willing to work onsite with the team in NYC.
