Role Overview As the Staff Product Manager for Ecommerce, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of HighLevel’s ecommerce automation ecosystem. You will be responsible for building and scaling integrations with platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, TikTok Shops, Meta Shops, Printful, and other commerce platforms, and ensuring deep, reliable 2-way synchronization of customer, product, and order data. Your work will accelerate how ecommerce businesses use HighLevel for lifecycle automations, event-based workflows, revenue attribution, segmentation, and personalized messaging across email, SMS, and other channels. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Partner teams to create a world-class automation engine that powers millions of stores and billions of marketing events. This is a high-impact, hands-on IC role for someone who understands ecommerce systems deeply, thrives in technical product challenges, and can translate complex event pipelines into simple, scalable, high-value product experiences. Key Responsibilities - Own the vision, strategy, and execution of HighLevel’s ecommerce and marketing automation platform. - Lead the integration architecture and roadmap for Shopify, WooCommerce, TikTok Shops, Meta Shops, Printful, and other commerce platforms. - Drive deep, accurate 2-way sync for customers, orders, carts, products, inventory, and fulfillment events across all supported platforms. - Build and scale event-based marketing automation flows such as abandoned carts, post-purchase sequences, replenishment flows, win-backs, and upsell/cross-sell automations. - Define and refine ecommerce data models, segmentation logic, and automation triggers to ensure reliability and correctness across large-scale data. - Collaborate with Engineering to build low-latency, high-throughput data pipelines capable of handling real-time commerce events at scale. - Partner with Messaging, AI, and Marketing teams to power personalized campaigns, predictive targeting, and dynamic segmentation for ecommerce users. - Develop robust revenue attribution frameworks across channels (email, SMS, push, on-site events) tied to marketing performance. - Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding, adoption, and rollout of ecommerce features to agencies and merchants. - Define and monitor KPIs for sync reliability, automation adoption, event accuracy, revenue lift, and performance consistency. - Act as the domain expert for ecommerce automation, platform integrations, and lifecycle marketing across the organization. - Ensure stability, scalability, and data correctness across millions of stores and billions of events. - Identify and deliver new capabilities that expand ecommerce automation, segmentation, personalization, or reporting. - Drive alignment across engineering, product, partners, and executive stakeholders while remaining a hands-on product owner. Requirements - 9+ years of Product Management experience, including ownership of marketing automation, ecommerce, or data-driven SaaS systems. - Strong experience with ecommerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, TikTok Shops, Meta Shops, Magento, BigCommerce, or related ecosystems. - Proven track record designing and scaling event-based automation systems that handle large volumes of real-time data. - Deep understanding of ecommerce data models (orders, carts, products, inventory, customer profiles, UTM/attribution). - High technical fluency with APIs, ETL pipelines, webhooks, event streaming, and identity/record matching. - Experience building segmentation, personalization, and automation capabilities in marketing or CRM tools. - Ability to dive deep into data validation, event mapping, and sync accuracy to diagnose issues at scale. - Strong analytical skills with experience using SQL, BI tools, or event debugging to validate hypotheses. - Proven ability to work across engineering, marketing, data, and partner teams in high-scale SaaS environments. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in simplifying complex technical concepts. - Comfortable operating as an execution-focused, hands-on product leader in a global, remote team. Nice-to-Have - Experience with marketing automation systems (email, SMS, push) and deliverability best practices. - Familiarity with checkout extensibility, product catalog management, subscription systems, or inventory workflows. - Exposure to real-time event streaming (Kafka, webhook queues, Segment, or similar). - Understanding of attribution modeling, conversion tracking, and lifecycle revenue analytics. - Experience in white-labeled SaaS environments or reseller ecosystems. - Background working with recommendation systems, predictive segments, or personalization engines.
