Staff Product Data Analyst

TLDR

Shape product strategy by leveraging complex data and experimentation, driving strategic pivots, and mentoring within a rapidly scaling analytics team.

From empowering entrepreneurs to build successful businesses to supporting their clients in arranging "me time" moments, we’re in the business of elevating people - helping them to thrive and feel fantastic. Lifting others up can be hard, heavy work, and we passionately believe that the sense of purpose and personal satisfaction this brings are worth it.

What started in Poland is now an international, cloud-based marketplace that’s scaling rapidly. We bring independent business owners together with their customers on a product that connects creative communities and opens up worlds of opportunities.

Working in a rapidly growing, ever-changing scale-up comes with its own set of opportunities and challenges. If you prefer a stable environment with clear processes and structures, then we’ve got to be honest: you won’t always find that here. However, if you enjoy inventively solving problems, helping create clarity when things get confusing, and prioritizing your own path within ambiguity, then you'll love the opportunities available to grow your career at Booksy.

Requirements

As our Staff Product Analyst, reporting into the Product Analytics Manager and acting as our most senior Individual Contributor, you are not here to simply answer data requests; you are here to shape the overarching product strategy. You will act as a core leadership voice within our product organisation. Leveraging exceptional critical thinking and extreme ownership, you will ensure that complex data and experimentation consistently translate into immediate, impactful business actions.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Product Co-Leadership: Act as a strategic co-leader within your product domain alongside Product and Engineering leadership. You don't just support the roadmap; you proactively dictate data-driven pivots, fostering a culture of rapid experimentation and relentless bias to action.
  • Problem Finding & Strategic Ownership: While Senior Analysts excel at solving complex problems, you excel at finding them. You proactively identify white-space opportunities across the business and define ambiguous problem spaces before they are even on leadership's radar, driving them end-to-end to tangible business outcomes.
  • Advanced Experimentation & Action: Champion sophisticated, hypothesis-driven experimentation frameworks (e.g., causal inference, complex A/B/n testing). Radically de-risk product development and use experiment results to confidently dictate the team's next actionable steps.
  • Building the Analytics Machine: Instead of simply mentoring 1:1, you design and implement the analytical frameworks, tooling architectures, and best practices that scale across the entire Product Analytics organization, lifting the baseline capabilities of the whole Product Analytics community.
  • Mentorship & Analytics Excellence: While not a line manager, serve as the foremost technical expert and mentor for the Product Analytics team,, continuously lifting the bar for data integrity, methodology, and business acumen.

Essentially, to ensure you succeed in this role you’re going to need…

  • Experience: 8+ years of extensive experience in product analytics, data science, or related fields, with a proven track record of acting as a strategic multiplier and operating well above a senior IC level.
  • Cross-Functional Co-Leadership: Proven ability to act as an equal partner within a product team (PM, Engineering, Design). You know how to influence roadmaps, mandate measurable impact, and foster a culture of fast-paced execution without relying on direct reporting lines.
  • Technical Excellence: Expert-level SQL skills and advanced proficiency in statistical programming (Python) are required for complex data mining, causal inference, and advanced modeling.
  • Tooling Architecture: Proven ability to architect and scale self-serve data ecosystems in platforms such as Looker, Amplitude, Power BI, or Tableau. You empower non-technical stakeholders to independently access insights, rather than just building dashboards for them.
  • Strategic Problem Finding: Unmatched critical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to independently navigate extreme ambiguity, discover unaddressed business challenges, and translate them into strategic business drivers.
  • Demonstrable Impact: Able to show examples of how data, insights and analytical approach drove impact to product change, through experimentation and assumption validation, ultimately driving KPIs and Key business outcomes.
  • Communication & Influence: Exceptional executive-level communication and presentation skills, capable of translating intricate data findings into persuasive, action-oriented strategies that rally both technical and non-technical leadership.
  • Language: Conversational to full professional proficiency in English.
