Staff Network Engineer

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting through proven technical expertise
  • Identifies opportunities for automation and delivers outcomes that would significantly improve quality, time to market and operational efficiencies
  • Innovates to optimize the change, incident and problem queues to meet and improve SLAs
  • Identifies and delivers technical and process improvements that helps in significantly improving availability
  • Represent the team in change, incident and problem management calls
  • Drives in defining and implementing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Helps define hardware, software, and configuration standards
  • Develop workflows, process and programmable automation procedures
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks and issues and navigates organizational structure to resolve them.
  • Leverages understanding of Intuit’s business and operational direction in designing networks or transition planning in support of Intuit’s changing business dynamics
  • Crafts and lab tests network prototypes to ensure proof of concept, design integrity, and production/build readiness. Works with various stakeholders to ensure alignment on the design proposals.
  • Prepares High Level and Low Level Designs that translates business requirements to technical and process flows
  • Participate in on-call rotation schedule.

  • Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of related experience in a high-capacity, high-impact online environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) and/or other Software Defined Networking
  • Experience with Python or Perl scripting languages is a must
  • Proven record of automating network operational tasks
  • Working experience on Cisco Iron port proxy is preferred
  • Experience in designing and supporting expansive cloud and hybrid-cloud networks
  • Expertise with Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX and F5 load balancers
  • Strong skills with Nexus 7k, 5k and 2k switches 
  • Proven ability to manage large, highly visible infrastructure projects to completion
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Ability to influence and drive consensus
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex n-tier web applications
  • Expertise in implementing and operationalizing ITIL processes
  • Experience with low-level infrastructure testing, performance analysis and troubleshooting tools
  • Expert knowledge TCP/IP, SSL Certificate Management, DNS, DHCP, operating systems, and applications data flows
  • In depth knowledge on configuring and optimizing Network device monitoring and alerting
  • Certifications in one or more of the following: CCIE, CISSP, CCNP and CCNA
  • In-depth knowledge of modern and trending network monitoring and administration tools
  • Understanding of security-policy implementation details and how to manage design and support of network environments to maintain policy integrity
  • Linux and Windows specific systems knowledge, administration experience
  • Prioritizes and performs a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction or supervision
  • Ability to have constructive debates to reach the best outcome for Intuit
