Position Description:
Ceribell is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our core research and product development activities. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical background, analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal communications, and be team-oriented. This role will assist in implementing mechanical designs, conducting verification/validation/reliability tests, completing documentation and participating in DFX.
This role is hybrid and requires 3-5 days in our Sunnyvale offices.
What you'll achieve
- Serve as the technical lead for cross-functional projects
- Drive strategic engineering projects
- Help define product features, requirements, and mechanical assembly Develop detailed mechanical designs that meet user requirements and regulatory requirements with a focus on size, cost, time to market, and quality targets
- Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team for new products to ensure successful product bring-up
- Work with external testing laboratories for product compliance and certification
- Participate in manufacturing transfer and pilot manufacturing activities
- Participate in risk management activities
- Work with Quality to develop verification and validation processes
- Work with other R&D team members on product definition, integration, and testing
- Collaborate closely with internal and external resources
- Provide internal and external product support as needed
- Mentor and coach less experienced team members
What you'll need to be successful
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
- 7+ years of experience with manufacturing and assembly process development
- 7+ years of experience with mechanical design and CAD tools; Solidworks preferred
- Experience with high-volume disposable medical devices
- Experience across all phases of medical device product development from concept through to design transfer.
- 5+ years designing injection molded assemblies
- Experience with soft goods (textiles) a plus
A candidate’s final salary offer will be based on their skills, education, work location and experience, and thus it may differ from the posted range. Compensation may also include bonuses consistent with Ceribell’s corporate compensation plan.
