We are looking for a Staff HRIS Analyst who will serve as a senior functional lead within our HR Technology team. This role is designed for a Workday expert who thrives at the intersection of complex module configuration, business process optimization, and high-level data storytelling. You will be responsible for the health, scalability, and functional excellence of our Workday ecosystem, ensuring our HR tools empower our people and our business.
Your impact 
  • Functional Architecture: Lead the end-to-end functional configuration and optimization of Workday modules, including HCM, Talent, Time Tracking/Absence, Benefits, and Advanced Compensation.
  • Advanced Analytics & Reporting: Serve as an SME in HR reporting, utilizing Discovery Boards, Advanced/Matrix Reports, and RaaS to provide actionable insights to leadership. 
  • System Optimization: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for new feature adoption, ensuring AppFolio is utilizing the full breadth of Workday’s functional capabilities. 
  • Vendor Management: Partner with external vendors (Payroll, 401k, Insurance, etc) to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data exchange and file transmissions.
  • Integration Configuration: Ability to configure entry-level integrations such as Core Connectors, RaaS, and EIBs to connect Workday to external platforms and vendors.
  • Release Management: Co-Lead the evaluation of Workday’s semi-annual releases, identifying new features that drive efficiency. 
Qualifications 
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in Workday HCM, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex, cross-functional solutions across key modules (e.g., Benefits, Recruiting, Advanced Compensation, and Time Tracking/Absence).
  • Expert proficiency in building advanced custom reports, including matrix, composite, and nBox reports, as well as developing complex, multi-level calculated fields. 
  • Deep functional knowledge of Workday Business Process configuration and the ability to translate business requirements into technical system specifications.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Workday Security configuration, ensuring robust data protection across all functional domains.
  • Strong Analytical Mindset: Ability to synthesize complex data sets into clear, visual stories for executive-level decision-making.
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with the application of AI/Machine Learning models in the HR space, particularly in how to integrate Workday with Generative AI tools to enhance HR service delivery.
  • Experience with Workday Orchestrate and Studio.

Compensation & Benefits
The compensation that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $125,600 - $157,000 [base pay]. The actual compensation for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, education, experience, and internal equity.

Please note that compensation is just one aspect of a comprehensive Total Rewards package. The compensation range listed here does not include additional benefits or any discretionary bonuses you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
