Role Summary
We’re looking for a Growth Technology Integration Engineer to bridge the gap between high-scale product engineering and advanced growth marketing technology. This role sits within the Engineering organization and focuses on the technical implementation, reliability, and scalability of lifecycle and growth integrations across the Fanatics Collectibles ecosystem. You will be the technical linchpin ensuring that our engagement tools—like Braze and various data instrumentation platforms—integrate cleanly with our product features to create a world-class user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lifecycle & Growth Technology Integrations: Implement and maintain Braze SDK integrations across web and mobile products. You will ensure lifecycle technology integrates correctly within product surfaces and supporting systems, validating triggers, rendering, and interaction flows.
- Data Instrumentation & Infrastructure: Partner with data engineering teams to implement and validate the data instrumentation required for downstream analytics. You'll ensure data payloads emitted by product systems are correctly formatted, usable, and reliable.
- Product Engineering Support: Act as a dedicated partner to Product Engineering teams, providing the expertise needed to integrate growth capabilities into product features efficiently. You will establish and promote correct implementation patterns across the organization.
- Technical Strategy & Alignment: Partner closely with the Lifecycle Technology Platform Owner to translate platform scopes into reliable engineering implementations across product and backend systems.
- Integration Reliability & Troubleshooting: Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex platform integration issues. You will troubleshoot SDK integrations and data flows across various environments to ensure system stability.
- Scalability & Standards: Ensure that as our growth capabilities expand, the underlying technology scales effectively while maintaining high standards for implementation consistency.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on integrating third-party platforms and SDKs within complex ecosystems.
- Strong background in Web and/or Mobile technologies (React, NextJS, Swift, or Kotlin) and a deep understanding of how client-side SDKs interact with application lifecycles.
- Expertise in Data Engineering principles, specifically regarding event-driven architecture, data instrumentation, and payload validation.
- Strong background in API development and a deep understanding of REST and GraphQL.
- Proven track record of troubleshooting complex, distributed systems and ensuring data integrity across multiple platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate marketing/growth requirements into technical specifications for engineering teams.
Desired Experience
- Deep knowledge of Braze or similar lifecycle engagement platforms (e.g., Iterable, Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
- Experience with Segment, mParticle, or other Customer Data Platforms (CDPs).
- Experience in E-commerce or Gaming, where real-time user engagement and high-volume data flows are critical.
- Technical leadership experience, specifically in cross-functional environments involving Product, Marketing, and Engineering.
