Job Summary:

Staff Release management is responsible for overseeing the key initiatives of the DevOps/Release Team to ensure delivering high quality product releases and functionality to customers. The right candidate will have extensive experience leading system infrastructure implementations projects, optimizing and refactoring of automation scripts, managing cloud platform deployments and releasing communication and updates to customers. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive the planning, designing and building of effective solutions to support a rapidly-growing business. 
  • Lead team’s initiatives to support infrastructure for highly scalable and reliable platform services and components that create the foundation of the core Platform architecture. 
  • Mentor DevOps/Release team, providing best practices and guidance on all projects to improve performance of platform components.
  • Implement standards and best practices for the DevOps/Release team to maintain a 99.95% uptime SLA.
  • Work closely with Architects, Engineers, Product Managers, and other clients and partners of the DevOps/Release team to meet the needs of organization to stay competitive from the infrastructure up to the highest level of application.
  • Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards to enable the company to achieve and maintain a host of certifications.
  • Continuously look for ways to optimize and streamline the infrastructure to facilitate a seamless experience for the company's customers. 

Skills You Must Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in in enterprise, SaaS software development and/or operations 
  • 6+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining highly available applications in the cloud
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, take on multiple responsibilities, stay focused on the top priorities, and do what it takes to get things done
  • Experience in continuous testing, systems automation, virtualization, orchestration, continuous integration, deployment, and observability
  • Knowledge of DevOps design patterns, processes, and best practices
  • Understanding of build and deployment systems and system configuration
  • Experience setting up complete end-to-end fully integrated delivery systems (source control management, build tools, artifact repositories, deployment, and monitoring systems)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong cross-team and cross-department partnership, collaboration, and consulting skills
  • A strong focus on business outcomes. 

Skills That Are Nice to Have: 

  • Understanding of data preparation, model training, and deployment processes.
  • Experience using AI/ML services from cloud providers (AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform).
