About the role Drivetrain AI is  looking for a talented Staff Engineer, who will be at the forefront of data analytics innovation, building systems that transform how businesses extract value from their data through our powerful compute engine, intuitive frontend, and comprehensive integration capabilities. What you’ll be doing Architect, refine, and escalate the capabilities of complex backend systems with a laser focus on efficiency, durability, and scale. Elevate application performance, optimizing for speed, scalability, and resource allocation. Forge robust methodologies to manage high concurrency and vast data volumes, setting new industry benchmarks. Collaborate intimately with engineering and product peers to crystallize requirements into resilient, scalable architectures. Demonstrate proficiency with advanced storage solutions and databases like Redis and PostgreSQL enhancing system integrity. Champion coding excellence, testing rigor, and deployment precision, driving best practices across the development lifecycle. What you'll bring to the role: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering 5-8 years experience in backend development with Java, Python, or Go in production environments Proven experience scaling compute-intensive applications that process large volumes of data Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and system design Experience optimizing backend systems that support dynamic frontend data manipulation interfaces Proficiency with database technologies including Redis, PostgreSQL, and distributed data systems Experience building or maintaining extensive API integration frameworks is highly desirable Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, CI/CD practices, and deployment automation Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills to collaborate across teams
