The Mission: TuxCare is moving away from fragmented, "over-aligned" development. We are looking for a Staff Engineer to take absolute, end-to-end ownership of a Critical Logical Domain within our Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) Automation suite.
In this role, you aren't just a senior coder; you are the technical and operational driver of your domain. You are responsible for cutting through the "Meeting Gridlock" and "Dependency Hell" that usually slows down enterprise R&D. You will build, own the roadmap, and orchestrate delivery for your specific area using an AI-first approach to ensure we scale smart—not through "money rain," but through elite, lean efficiency.

What You’ll Do:

End-to-End Domain Orchestration

  • Absolute Domain Ownership: You own the vision and the production code for your specific logical part of ELS. You don’t "throw code over the fence" to a separate release or ops team; you own the GitLab CI pipelines and the production stability for your domain.
  • Rapid Prototyping: Move from experiment to production-ready solution in days. You bypass the "2.5-week documentation tax" by using AI to generate high-fidelity technical specs and test suites on the fly.
  • Smart Scaling: You identify where your domain needs to move to Public Cloud to solve scaling bottlenecks and lead that pivot with a United Vision.

AI-Agentic Development

  • Daily Orchestration: You use modern AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) to orchestrate the entire SDLC. You leverage AI to refactor legacy code, catch edge cases, and automate documentation.
  • Validation & Integrity: You act as the "Interception Layer." You validate AI outputs to ensure your domain doesn't drift into "Dark Architecture" or "AI Slop."

Product & Operational Leadership

  • The "2-in-the-Box" Mindset: You act as the primary interface between business needs and shippable code for your domain. You prioritize your roadmap by Impact vs. Risk, cutting out features that don't move the needle.
  • Fighting Overhead: You hate "Meeting Theater." You drive outcomes through direct incident coordination and continuous observability, ensuring your domain stays high-velocity and autonomous.

Requirements

  • 8+ Years of "In the Trenches" Engineering: Recent, daily Python mastery. You are an elite individual contributor who can lead by example.
  • Advanced AI Workflow: You are an "AI-Power User" with a proven system for using LLMs to speed up debugging, testing, and refactoring.
  • Linux & CI/CD Mastery: Solid fundamentals in Shell, networking, and packaging (RPM/DEB). You can build and maintain your own runners and pipelines.
  • Product Owner Mindset: You can take ambiguous requirements for your domain and turn them into a clear, prioritized roadmap without needing middle-management "alignment."
  • Startup/Builder DNA: You have a track record of shipping your own projects or working in high-accountability environments where you were the "Single Point of Success."
  • Communication: Professional English. You are direct, transparent, and can defend technical trade-offs to any stakeholder.
