Staff Analog IC Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Analog IC Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing test programs for analog integrated circuits on Teradyne UltraFlex test platforms.

This role focuses on New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring all transistors and circuits on production chips meet design specifications and functionality. The candidate should have a strong background in test program development, DIB/loadboard hardware design, and analog circuit testing.

Responsibilities

Test Program Development:

• Write and debug test programs for analog circuits (DACs, ADCs, PMUs, IOs, Opamps, etc.) from scratch using IGXL on Teradyne UltraFlex systems.
• Collaborate with the design team to define and implement Design-for-Test (DFT) strategies at the top level of the chip.
• Develop automated test solutions for validation, characterization, and production.

Analog IC Testing:

• Perform validation and characterization of analog and mixed-signal ICs, including shmoo plotting and characterization data collection.
• Work with Automatic Test Pattern Generation (ATPG) and scan techniques for test coverage, with a primary focus on analog testing.
• Analyze test results and provide feedback to design and production teams for optimization and yield improvements.

Hardware Design:

• Design schematics for Device Interface Boards (DIBs), loadboards, and probe cards.
• Collaborate with layout engineers on board design, ensuring manufacturability and functionality.
• Consult on hardware manufacturing processes and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Documentation & Collaboration:

• Write comprehensive test documentation, including methodologies, procedures, and results.
• Interface with the design team, ensuring seamless integration of testing methodologies and hardware.
• Work closely with production test engineers to transition NPI test programs into volume production.

Data Analysis:

• Analyze test data to validate chip functionality and reliability across process, voltage, and temperature corners.
• Provide detailed reports to support design improvements and production readiness.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Experience: 6–15 years of hands-on experience in IC testing, with a strong emphasis on analog and mixed-signal circuits.

• Technical Skills:

• Expertise in Teradyne UltraFlex test platforms and IGXL programming.
• Solid understanding of analog circuit operation and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with ATPG, scan techniques, and digital testing fundamentals.
• Proficiency in designing and troubleshooting hardware for DIBs, loadboards, and probe cards.

• Preferred Skills:
• Experience with other ATE platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, C#, etc.) for automation is desirable.
• Understanding of production test methodologies and yield analysis tools.
