[solidcore] is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing HQ Accounting Team. The ideal candidate is an accounting professional with a strong foundation in GAAP, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. This individual is highly motivated, eager to learn, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role will support core accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue reporting, and month-end close activities.
Located in Arlington, Virginia, this position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a rapidly expanding, investor-backed fitness brand.
Responsibilities:
Organize, process, and code weekly invoices, including preparing and executing vendor payments
Maintain strong communication and positive working relationships with [solidcore] vendors
Support revenue reporting
Perform AR and AP reconciliations
Perform bank reconciliations
Assist with month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements as needed
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
Respond to requests from external auditors
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2-3 years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Possess a high level of attention to detail
Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Must be local to the Arlington/DMV area
Preferred Qualifications:
Multi-location retail, or membership-based business experience
NetSuite or similar accounting ERP software experience
CPA or CPA candidate
