Over $500M has been transacted through the platform and our investors include GV (Google Ventures) and Foundation Capital.   The Role   We're seeking a Staff Accountant to join our remote-first finance team, reporting directly to the Controller. This role is the primary owner of our accounts payable function and plays an integral part in the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including supporting the monthly close process and broader accounting activities.   Core Responsibilities:   Own the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice entry, coding, and routing for approval in Bill.com; serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and payment status Maintain accuracy and completeness of the AP subledger Management of Stripe invoicing Support the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and recording of banking activity Assist with annual audit preparation by organizing and providing supporting documentation Collaborate with the Controller on process improvements and ad hoc projects Partner with internal teams to ensure proper coding and approval of expenditures in line with company policy   Required Qualifications:   3–5 years of accounting experience, with demonstrated ownership of core accounting duties Working knowledge of US GAAP and its practical application in day-to-day accounting operations Proficiency in Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally   Preferred Qualifications:   ·       Experience with NetSuite ·       Familiarity with AP automation tools such as Bill.com or similar platforms ·       Experience using Expensify or a comparable expense management tool ·       Background in a technology company, marketplace, or other high-growth environment   Working At Peerspace   The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000.
