Staff Accountant

We are thrilled to represent a rapidly expanding online streaming platform company in their search for a dynamic "Staff Accountant" to join their pioneering accounting team. This is a full-time position based in Sunnyvale, CA, with the exciting potential for team expansion in the future.

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day financial operations of the company. Your responsibilities will encompass meticulous bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, overseeing tax reporting for production teams, and monitoring the PEX system. We are specifically seeking an individual who is fluent in both Mandarin and English. Your strong analytical and organizational skills will be essential as you contribute to the establishment and enhancement of our accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for our product on the pkatform.
• Collaborate closely with department heads to ensure precision in financial and tax reporting activities.
• Foster seamless communication and integration with studio management and the Finance Department Head.
• Prepare financial statements with precision and timeliness.
• Drive ongoing improvements in financial transparency and project-based accounting methodologies, aiding in the evolution of our finance systems.
• Monitor the PEX system diligently to ensure efficient management of prepaid cards.
• Demonstrate expertise in TV/film production accounting principles.
• Cultivate strong communication and collaboration with our finance team based in China.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Over 3 years of experience in accounting for technology, broadcasting or entertainment industry is preferred
• Proficiency in both Mandarin and English (reading & writing).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in startup environments is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hybrid work environment.
• Willingness to report on-site at our Sunnyvale headquarters.
