What You'll Do:
Support the month-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Analyze and explain monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and variances
Assist with compiling year-end external audit requests
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial close process.
Maintain and improve financial controls and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Assist team with any ad hoc tasks, clean-up, reporting projects
Work with various departments to streamline data flow and processes
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
Strong understanding of US GAAP.
1-2 years of experience in a similar role and CPA is a plus.
Candidate should be self-motivated, able to effectively prioritize responsibilities, work within tight deadlines, and work in a dynamic environment.
Superior poise and professionalism.
Must be able to think outside the box, work independently with general supervision, be a team player, and willing to contribute beyond the defined role to meet business needs as circumstances require.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement.
