SSE Engineer (World of Tanks, PC)

Job Overview

We are looking for an Server-Side Events Engineer to join the Server-Side Events team. As part of the Operations Management department (LiveOps division), the team’s main goal is to create and support in-game activities for World of Tanks in close cooperation with Development, Localization, Platform, and other teams. The candidate must be ready to work in a rapidly changing environment where concentration and attention to detail are prerequisites for timely and adequate reaction to daily challenges.

What will you do?

  • Check monthly plans for battle missions, in-game events, and specials before their technical implementation
  • Implement battle missions, in-game events, and specials
  • Introduce on-the-fly changes to battle missions, in-game events, and specials (on live servers)
  • Communicate with colleagues in local and remote offices in English/Russian
  • Provide technical assistance on battle missions, in-game events, and specials functionality

What are we looking for?

  • Intermediate or higher level of English
  • Technical education
  • Good communication skills

  • Quality-oriented attitude
  • Gaming experience in World of Tanks project
  • Readiness for duty on schedule (availability 24/7)

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Written and verbal communication skills in Russian
  • Basic knowledge of XML and JSON
  • Basic level of Python
  • Knowledge of server-side architecture
  • Experience with Git, SVN, or other version control systems
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience in game development

Work mode

  • Hybrid (3 days of work from the office)
  • This role isn't eligible for relocation & immigration support.
The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 1560-2200 monthly gross.
