We are seeking a talented and experienced Application Support Engineer to join our
growing team. As an Application Support Engineer at ZILO, you will play a crucial role in
ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cutting-edge technology
solutions.
As an Application Support Engineer you will have the opportunity to work closely with our
technology, operations, and product teams to ensure that our systems are running smoothly
and efficiently. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining monitoring tools,
troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve
any performance bottlenecks or system failures. This role requires a strong understanding of
cloud-based infrastructure, automation, and a passion for creating reliable and scalable
systems.
Responsibilities
• Production Support: Participate in providing 24x7 production support, including
incident resolution and on-call rotation, to ensure the availability and reliability of
critical applications.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and analyze application
performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations
to enhance overall performance.
• Cost Optimization: Implement cost-effective solutions to optimize cloud resources and
ensure efficient resource utilization within AWS environments.
• Resilience: Work to enhance the resilience and fault tolerance of applications, including
designing disaster recovery solutions and conducting failover testing.
• Defect and Bug Fixes: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve defects and bugs in
applications, collaborating with development teams to implement effective solutions.
• CI/CD: Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the seamless deployment
of applications, and automating release processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a
related field.
• Proven experience as an Application Support Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in at least two of the following disciplines: AWS, Kubernetes, Java, React,
GoLang.
• Strong understanding of application support, performance optimization, cost
optimization, and resilience.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex software and infrastructure issues.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Working as part of a global team to provide 24x7 on call coverage.
• Able to work shift patterns where required.
