Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join our team at LinkedIn’s Dublin, Ireland office. This role will primarily focus on all direct tax matters in primarily EMEA/LATAM region, including tax compliance, tax accounting, transfer pricing, and various strategic tax initiatives. This role will also provide day-to-day tax support to various business and support functions including HR, Business Development and Legal. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills, capable of navigating complex tax issues, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating across functions to support business operations and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Compliance & Governance

  • Manage the EMEA GAAP and statutory income tax reporting and compliance functions including quarterly tax presentation to Audit Committee and Board in certain EMEA countries.
  • Assist Transfer Pricing team with various functions such as the preparation and review of quarterly transfer pricing calculations, annual transfer pricing documentation and APA interviews
  • Manage income tax audits and regulatory inquiries.

Strategic Thinking

  • Advise business on key initiatives such as M&A, new product launches, employee mobility, cross-border transactions, commercial contracts etc.
  • Monitor EMEA income tax law changes and assess business impacts to LinkedIn operations in EMEA and communicates requirements and risks.
  • Support special tax projects and initiatives by providing expert tax guidance and risk assessments as required.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Relationship Management

  • Manage internal and external stakeholders such as internal business partners in different functions, Accounting, HR, and external auditors and advisors.

Technology Adoption & Process Innovation 

  • Identifies and implements process enhancements and technology solutions to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in tax operations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 7 + years of experience in tax compliance, tax accounting, tax audit management, or tax advisory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACCA, CPA, CTA or equivalent professional certification
  • 8+ years of accounting/tax experience, and/or in a high tech industry with a “Big 4” CPA firm desired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Proven ability to take initiative and prioritize, independently manage deadlines across daily responsibilities alongside special projects
