Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Static Equipment Engineer with 5 - 10 years of experience in the design and analysis of static equipment, piping systems, and steel structures. The candidate will be responsible for executing end-to-end mechanical design calculations, ensuring compliance with international codes and client specifications, and coordinating across disciplines to deliver high-quality engineering outputs.   • Review and interpret client specifications, technical standards, and international codes related to static equipment, piping systems, and steel structures.
  • Perform design and strength calculations for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and columns using COMPRESS and PV-Elite as per ASME Section VIII Div. 1.
  • Conduct design and analysis for self-supported stacks in accordance with ASME STS-1, IS 6533, and CICIND, including wind load and lifting calculations.
  • Design structural supports such as platforms, piping racks, modular skids, equipment foundations, and access structures using STAAD.Pro.
  • Evaluate feasibility, strength, and stability of structural supports in line with relevant standards.
  • Execute piping stress analysis using CAESAR II as per ASME B31.1 / B31.3 to assess thermal, vibration, seismic, wind, and support loads.
  • Recommend design modifications and support placements to ensure system reliability and compliance.
  • Collaborate with drafting and design teams to prepare accurate GA drawings, fabrication details, and 3D models.
  • Participate in 3D model reviews and provide real-time design feedback to enhance maintainability, operability, and safety.
  • Liaise with clients, internal teams, vendors, inspection agencies, and procurement departments for technical discussions and clarifications.
  • Review vendor documents and ensure compliance with design intent, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Support Proposal and Business Development teams by providing preliminary design data, technical inputs, and scope details for bids and tenders.
  • Coordinate with the Lead Engineer or Project Manager to ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
  • Contribute to technical risk assessments, design reviews, and value engineering initiatives to optimize performance and cost.
  • Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • 5–10 years of experience in the engineering design of static equipment, piping systems, and support structures.
  • Prior experience in EPC or consulting environments within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, or Power Plant industries preferred.
  • Proficient in design and analysis software including COMPRESS, PV-Elite, CAESAR II, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD/Plant 3D.
  • Working knowledge of additional tools such as Ansys, NozzlePRO, Mecastack, and Navisworks is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of international design codes including ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.1 / B31.3, API, IS, TEMA, and EN.
  • Familiarity with fabrication and welding standards, inspection techniques, and material specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional, multicultural teams.
