Gigamon is seeking a Senior Staff SW QA. The candidate should have extensive experience Network/Security Product Testing and proficient in Test Automation. Responsible to test and qualify highly scalable and robust Visibility solution and provide technical guidance to the team. The suitable candidate should have strong technical background in Networking/Security domain.Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide Process and Technical Leadership in the development of Test Strategies and plans across the Gigamon Visibility products including protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, Encryption technologies, etc. to provide Enterprise/cloud/Hybrid security.
- Understand Product architecture and its implications on feature and system testing
- Bring innovation, creativity and track record of expertise to advance our commitment to Automation of Functional, Performance and Stress Testing
- Interface with the Product Management and other Architects team to ensure requirements compliance, determine release readiness and triage defects discovered in the field
- Review major deliverables to ensure product quality and ensure quality delivery to Customer
- Lead horizontal (multi-functional teams – Engineers from Functional, System Test, Performance team) in problem resolution and process improvement activities with emphasis on lean process
- Utilize quality measures and metrics to drive the team towards technical excellence and continuous improvement
Qualification:
- 11-16 years (or more) of overall relevant industry experience and a track record of shipping core-networking products for the enterprise and service provider markets
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a Test Architect leading the QA of networking software
- Experience with designing and testing complex system/infrastructure software for Network Security technologies
- In-depth knowledge of Firewalls, IDS, IPS, and Data protection and encryption solutions
- Proficient in security protocols including SSL/TLS and Key Management
- Good knowledge about disruptive networking technologies like SDN / NFV is a big advantage
- Knowledge of Enterprise/Service Provider Network Security Deployment Frameworks
- Familiar with any of the Test Automation Frameworks (Robot, PyATS, TestNG), Programming Language (Python, Unix Scripting), Traffic Generation Tools
- Deep understanding of full product life cycle, software development methods (both Agile and Waterfall), and System Testing Life Cycle
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, listening, and written communication skills, both within the team and across the organization
- Ability to mentor/coach/teach/facilitate and lead change in a highly technical/dynamic team
- BS in CS or EE, MS strongly preferred
